Google Pixel 5a tipped to launch and release in August

It is rumored that Google will launch the Google Pixel 5a in August of 2021. The tech giant had already confirmed the existence of the Pixel 5a model, but little had been known about it other than that. Now, a new report hints at the possible release date and specifications of Pixel 5a.

Reports claim that Google is planning to launch the Pixel 5a in August, possibly like the Pixel 4a, which also came out in August of 2020.

This comes from Mark Gurman, who predicts that the Pixel 5a will initially launch only in the US and Japan.

What can we expect from Google Pixel 5a?

This phone will officially be Google’s cheapest smartphone, so we cannot expect too much of it either. The pixel 5a is rumored to be powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC and will come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. It will come with storage options up to 128GB.

It is likely to come with a 6.2″ FHD+ OLED Display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is expected to come out with Android 12 out-of-the-box. If this turns out to be true, then the Pixel 5a will be the first smartphone to feature this. It also features a punch-hole camera setup on the front, which is also a first for budget smartphones.

Google has officially not released any statement about the Pixel 5a but it is nice to see the top brands releasing beginner level and low budget smartphones. Google is also working with Jio on a phone that will release in India, the specs of which are in the dark as of now.
