TCL brings Mini LED C825 and QLED C725 Android TVs to the Indian market

TCL, one of the world’s biggest TV manufacturers, recently dropped two of its ultra-premium televisions. One is the absolute flagship TCL C825 4K Mini LED QLED TV and the more affordable premium TV in the form of LED C725 Android TV.

Both of these Android Smart TVs come with a new Google TV interface and will be exclusively sold on Amazon India and Reliance Digital. While the C825 4K Mini LED TV will be having a starting price of ₹114,990, the C725 QLED TV is a more affordable choice, starting at just ₹64,990.


This Smart TV uses TCL’s second-generation mini-LED technology and TCL said back at the launch of this TV at CES 2021, “the C825 adopts straight down backlight mode reducing the grain size of traditional LED to 100 ~200 μm.”

So you expect more LEDs to power the backlight source and a full-array local dimming, so you can expect better brightness and contrast from the TV although its panel still remains QLED. Here are all the specs:

The sales for this premium Android TV starts on July 7th, 2021, on Amazon India and having features from its brother TCL QLED 4K C728 Android TV that is dubbed to be the Gaming TV. So, technically, you can easily play games on this flagship model as you have a 120Hz refresh rate, FreeSync support, Dolby Vision, HDR and much more.


The C725 doesn’t have mini-LED backlighting but still features the same Quantum Dot Technology that should help enhance the colours and overall picture quality of the TV.

At CES 2021, TCL said, “With nearly 100% ultra-high colour gamut (DCI-P3), the Quantum Dot Display Technology in the C725 will deliver even more vibrant and diverse colours without the limitations of lower colour volume or shorter lifespans found in other colour technologies”.
