Another Google I/O, and from the stage in Mountain View, California, Sundar Pichai and other members of the company’s executive team are revealing a plethora of AI-powered delights.

However, Google chose to postpone revealing Android 15 until later, even while Gemini 1.5 Pro, the Gemini app, and Google Search integration were all released. Google made the news during the keynote that they would be discussing improvements pertaining to the recently released Android 15 beta, and that Beta 2 would probably be released soon after.
It is customary for Google to release the most recent Android Beta soon after the main keynote address at its developer conference, I/O. But this year, artificial intelligence integration with several Google platforms was a major theme. Google did discuss Android, but once again, it focused more on artificial intelligence (AI), highlighting improvements to the Gemini personal assistant app and the plans for Gemini Nano, including the expansion of its on-device capabilities.
Remarkably, Google launched the Developer Preview program in February and launched the first beta of Android 15 in March. The primary features of Android 15 will only be made public during the formal launch, which is taking place tomorrow, despite the fact that the beta did offer a preview of what’s new with the OS.
More flexibility over camera settings, such as flash strength and low light performance, is available on Android 15 for more customized photos. Android 15 also includes a toggle that can be used on the entire system to adjust keyboard vibration for various keyboard applications.
“Sensitive Notifications” on Android 15 now stops unauthorized apps from getting access to private information in notifications. With a new popup window, Android 15 simplifies the process of pairing and unplugging Bluetooth devices.
Android 15 additionally makes it easier to share music files to Bluetooth LE Audio streams using Auracast. Android 15 introduces a special high-quality webcam option for Pixel device owners to enjoy better video conferencing. Users can customize their taskbar on Android 15 by selecting between temporary and permanent display settings. Android 15 adds a feature called “app archiving” that automatically saves unwanted apps to spare up storage space.
