Meet Park Tae Soo: The Lawyer Who Markets Himself

Tae Soo isn’t a typical courtroom figure. He built his fame through a YouTube channel, “Tae Soo by law” (literal translation), which has 200,000 subscribers. Alongside his legal skills, he has sharp business instincts, and he’s determined to lead the divorce law scene.

His main rival is Cha Eun Kyung of Rebom, so expect sparks. Two ambitious lawyers chasing the same crown promises plenty of tension and clever courtroom strategy.

A Client-First Philosophy

Newly released stills show two sides of the character. In one, Tae Soo calmly consults a client, projecting confidence with a gentle smile and a refined presence. He believes lawyers exist to serve customers, and that the client’s gain comes first. His sharp gaze suggests he reads exactly what clients want before planning how to deliver it.

In the other still, he stands in a courtroom, and the mood changes. He’s willing to take the offensive when victory is at stake. Viewers are curious how he will win his clients’ trust, lead his firm and challenge Cha Eun Kyung.

What Park Hae Jin Says About the Role?

The actor shared why he said yes. He had enjoyed watching the project and was happy to receive an offer when he heard a second season was in the works. Joining a hit show as a newcomer brought some pressure, but he found Tae Soo interesting and saw a chance to show a fresh side of himself.

He described Tae Soo as the most practical character of the season. In his view, a lawyer is both a legal professional and an entrepreneur, and Tae Soo, as a YouTuber, knows how to succeed in an age of self-promotion.

Park Hae Jin also said Tae Soo acts as a breather, easing tension when the story grows heavy. He aimed for a lighter, humane and comfortable portrayal, with a cute and playful streak as part of the character’s charm.

Why This Casting Works?

Divorce dramas can feel emotionally intense. A lighter character like Tae Soo adds balance, and a rival with a different style gives the central duo something new to push against. A lawyer who markets himself online also feels very current, which could help the story connect with modern audiences.
