The Genshin Impact community is buzzing with excitement as Luna III leaks reveal significant upgrades for three beloved 4-star characters. Mondstadt’s heroes are getting the spotlight with new Magic character mechanics that could reshape team compositions and breathe fresh life into characters some players thought had peaked.

What’s the Magic Character System?

The Luna III update introduces a revolutionary “Magic character” designation for Mondstadt characters tied to the mysterious Hexenzirkel group. When paired with another Magic character, these heroes unlock exclusive passive talents and enhanced abilities, making them considerably more powerful in specific team setups.

Genshin Impact 4-Star Characters Getting Buffed

Character	Role	Key Buff Highlights
Sucrose	Anemo Support	+7.14% DMG boost for Magic characters, enhanced C6
Fischl	Electro Sub-DPS	+45% ATK or 180 EM at C6, reaction-based buffs
Razor	Electro DPS	Energy regeneration, +50% CRIT DMG at C6

Sucrose: TheAlchemy Genius Gets Stronger

Already a powerhouse for Elemental Mastery teams, Sucrose is receiving quality-of-life improvements that make her even more valuable.

New Passive – Witch’s Eve Rite: Sevenfold Transmutation:

Creates a wild spirit that boosts all party damage by 5.71%
Magic characters receive an enhanced 7.14% damage bonus for 20 seconds
Updated C6: Now grants Magic characters an additional 8.57% Elemental DMG bonus

While Sucrose didn’t necessarily need buffs, these enhancements solidify her position as a top-tier support, especially in Mondstadt-focused compositions.

Fischl: The Prinzessin’s Power Surge

The Prinzessin der Verurteilung is getting perhaps the most impactful upgrade of the trio. Her new kit revolves around elemental reactions, which aligns perfectly with her off-field DPS playstyle.

New Passive – Witch’s Eve Rite: Phantasmal Nocturne:

Overload reactions: Grant 22.5% ATK buff for 10 seconds
Electro-Charged reactions: Provide 90 Elemental Mastery for 10 seconds
Enhanced C6: Doubles these buffs to 45% ATK or 180 EM during Oz’s coordinated attacks

For players with C6 Fischl (which many veterans possess), this transforms her into an incredible reaction enabler who can significantly amplify team damage output.

Razor: The Wolf Boy’s Comeback

Once a dominant early-game carry, Razor has struggled to compete with modern DPS characters. Luna III aims to fix that with substantial damage and energy mechanics improvements.

New Witch Passive:

Soul Companion damage increased by 70% of Razor’s ATK
Lightning strikes dealing 150% ATK as AoE Electro DMG when gaining excess Electro Sigils
Restores 7 energy per strike (once per second)
Revamped C6: Always gain 3 sigils, plus 10% CRIT Rate and 50% CRIT DMG for 15 seconds after consuming them

These changes position Razor closer to modern 4-star DPS standards, making him viable again for endgame content.

Why These Buffs Matter

HoYoverse’s decision to enhance original 4-star characters shows commitment to keeping older units relevant. For free-to-play players and collectors, these buffs mean previously benched characters could return to active rosters without requiring new pulls.

The Magic character system also adds strategic depth, encouraging players to experiment with Mondstadt team compositions they might have overlooked. Check out more character guides and strategies on TechnoSports to maximize these upcoming changes.

Q: Do I need C6 to benefit from these character buffs?
