How Did We Get Here?

For years, this fight always seemed just out of reach. Many fans gave up hope after Fury’s fifth retirement, which followed back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk.

Then came April 11, 2026. Fury returned to the ring, beat Arslanbek Makhmudov and called out Joshua right there in the ring. Joshua fired back, saying he’d fight Fury when he was ready. Netflix UK & Ireland even posted about it too soon, but no deal followed. Months of teasing and behind-the-scenes talks finally ended with this announcement.

Why It Matters?

It’s a first. These two British heavyweights have never fought each other.
It’s free to stream for existing Netflix subscribers, with no pay-per-view fee.
It’s huge. Netflix has around 325 million subscribers, so the audience could be enormous.
