From Viral Bride to Bollywood: The Vedika Pinto Story You Didn’t Know

Long before she was sharing screen space with Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto was the girl everyone recognized but couldn’t quite name — the bride from Ritviz’s viral hit “Liggi.” Fast forward a few years, and she’s now carving out a steady acting career, most recently turning heads in the Netflix series Musafir Cafe.

Born on 14 October 1995 in Mumbai to Johnny Pinto and Monia Saigal Pinto, Vedika grew up in a Christian household and studied at Ecole Mondiale World School before heading to the University of London for higher studies. Dance was her first love — she competed nationally and internationally through her school years — long before acting entered the picture.

Her big break came in 2019 when she appeared as the bride in Ritviz’s music video “Liggi.” The song’s massive popularity turned her into an overnight internet sensation, and that visibility eventually opened doors in Bollywood.

She made her Hindi film debut in 2022 with Operation Romeo, directed by Neeraj Pandey, playing a character named Neha in a story built around moral policing. A year later, she featured in Gumraah alongside Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur. She then took on the role of Rangeeli Rinku in Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi and its sequel, before landing her latest project — Sudha Tripathi in Musafir Cafe, opposite Vikrant Massey and Mahima Makwana.
