From Theatres to Screens: Bobby Deol’s Bandar Finally Gets Its OTT Date

Missed Bandar in theatres? You’re not alone — and the wait is almost over. Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra’s gritty courtroom drama, directed by Anurag Kashyap, is heading to ZEE5 on August 28, 2026.

The film had a solid theatrical run starting June 5, 2026, but its slow-burn, uncomfortable storytelling made it the kind of movie that’s built for a rewatch — or a first watch, minus the crowd.

What’s Bandar About?

Bobby Deol plays Samar Mehra, a former TV star whose life implodes after his ex-girlfriend accuses him of a serious crime. What follows isn’t a courtroom thriller in the usual sense — it’s a slow unraveling of celebrity, guilt, and public judgment, with Kashyap refusing to hand viewers easy answers. The ending stays deliberately ambiguous, which is exactly why it’s sparked so much post-watch debate.
