From Cockpit to Boardroom: SmartWinnr Taps A Decorated Air Force Veteran To Lead APAC

Military precision is landing in the sales enablement world. SmartWinnr, an AI-powered sales enablement and coaching platform, has appointed Wing Commander Jasween Kaur Sahani (Retd.) as its new Senior Program Manager for the APAC Region — a move that brings serious operational rigor to the company’s growing leadership bench.

A Career Built on High-Stakes Execution

With over 15 years in the Indian Air Force, Jasween’s résumé reads like a masterclass in operational leadership. As Wing Commander, she oversaw more than 50,000 hours of incident-free flying operations and managed 50+ air assets during major national and international exercises. She also held a pivotal role in the Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS), ensuring real-time situational awareness in mission-critical environments — a level of precision not far removed from what modern sales teams now demand from AI-driven coaching platforms.

On the academic side, she holds an MBA from NMIMS, completed the Business Management Program at IIM Bangalore, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI.

APAC: Overview

Why This Hire Matters

“The transition from military leadership to the technology industry presents an exciting opportunity to create impact at scale,” Jasween said, adding that disciplined execution, continuous learning, and people-first leadership have defined her career — values she sees mirrored in SmartWinnr’s mission of transforming sales performance through AI-driven learning.

SmartWinnr Co-founder and CEO Annie Banik welcomed the appointment, noting that Jasween’s experience leading complex operations in one of the world’s most demanding environments brings tremendous value to the team. Banik also pointed to a broader pattern at the company: structured systems where capability and accountability define leadership — an approach that has naturally brought more women like Jasween into senior roles.

Timing Matters: Pharma Sales Enablement Is Evolving Fast

Jasween joins at a pivotal moment for pharma and life sciences sales enablement. As 2026 unfolds, enterprises are moving past basic AI adoption toward embedded coaching, compliance-aware training, and real-time performance insights built directly into reps’ daily workflows — especially as regulatory scrutiny increases.

Her background running mission-critical operations at scale, much like the discipline instilled through service in the Indian Air Force, positions her well to help SmartWinnr’s customers translate AI-driven insights into consistent, on-the-ground results.
