Money, mystery, and a mismatched detective duo — SBS just dropped a highlight trailer that has K-drama fans counting down the days. Flex x Cop returns with bigger stakes, a formidable new villain, and a partnership fans didn’t know they needed.
What the Trailer Reveals
Ahn Bo Hyun reprises his role as Jin Yi Soo, the wealthy chaebol-heir-turned-detective who treats his private jets and supercars as investigative tools. This season, he’s paired with veteran detective Joo Hye Ra, played by Jung Eun Chae — a no-nonsense former academy instructor who initially keeps him firmly in check.
Their dynamic evolves from friction to genuine partnership across the trailer, with Yi Soo proving his usefulness case after case. The season’s central threat comes in the form of Yoo Sung Won, a cunning chaebol heir played by Yoo Seung Ho, whose confidence sets up a tense cat-and-mouse chase with Violent Crimes Team 1.

Why Fans Are Excited
The original Flex x Cop built a loyal following by blending procedural crime-solving with comedic wealth-flaunting, a genre mashup South Korean television has increasingly embraced in recent years. Season 2 promises to raise the scale even further, judging by the trailer’s teases of private jets, real estate deals, and high-stakes confrontations.
Yoo Seung Ho’s casting adds serious weight to the antagonist side, giving the season a genuinely threatening counterbalance to Yi Soo and Hye Ra’s growing chemistry. With the premiere just around the corner, anticipation is building fast among K-drama audiences.
