Just when Jin Yi Soo and Joo Hye Ra thought they’d caught a break, Flex x Cop 2 throws them straight into a burning building. New stills from the drama’s upcoming third episode show the crime-fighting duo tied up, injured, and racing against flames — and fans are already bracing for a nail-biting watch.
What’s Happening in Flex x Cop 2?
Season 2 finds Ahn Bo Hyun reprising his role as Jin Yi Soo, the wealthy, connections-flexing chaebol heir turned cop, now joined by Jung Eun Chae as Joo Hye Ra, a veteran counterterrorism detective and his former police academy instructor. After surviving a string of bomb attacks in the first two episodes, Joo Hye Ra stepped up to lead Jin Yi Soo’s team — setting the stage for plenty of clashing personalities and, apparently, near-death experiences.
The New Stills: What We Know So Far
The freshly released images show both detectives tied to chairs back-to-back in an eerie, abandoned house, with Joo Hye Ra bleeding from a head wound after an apparent attack by an unseen assailant. As if that weren’t tense enough, a fire breaks out in the house — leaving fans to wonder whether the pair can escape before it’s too late.

Why This Episode Is a Must-Watch
What makes this cliffhanger land is the setup from the first two episodes — Jin Yi Soo and Joo Hye Ra have gone from wary former teacher-student dynamic to reluctant partners, and now literal survival companions. Their chemistry, built on friction and grudging respect, adds real stakes to the danger: this isn’t just an action sequence, it’s a test of whether these two clashing detectives can trust each other when it counts.
Ahn Bo Hyun continues to build his action-thriller résumé following his film Pretty Crazy, while Jung Eun Chae brings dramatic depth from her recent project Someone You Loved — a combination that’s giving SBS another buzzy hit on its hands.
