New stills just answered the question everyone had about “Flex x Cop 2” Season 2: has the show’s straight-laced new detective been corrupted by chaebol money yet? Based on the latest preview, the answer is a confident yes.
What’s Happening In The New Episode in Flex X Cop 2?
In SBS’s “Flex x Cop 2,” Ahn Bo Hyun returns as Jin Yi Soo, a third-generation chaebol heir who solves cases by throwing money at problems instead of playing by the rules. Jung Eun Chae joins the cast this season as Joo Hye Ra, a veteran detective now leading his team — and the newly released stills suggest she’s stopped resisting his methods entirely.
What The New Stills Show
| Scene | Detail |
|---|---|
| Airport runway | Jin Yi Soo, Joo Hye Ra, Park Joon Young, and Choi Kyung Jin take over a runway at night in a dramatic squad arrival |
| Signature moment | Jin Yi Soo holds a megaphone with his trademark swagger |
| Private jet | Joo Hye Ra is seen laughing comfortably, fully at ease with his “money-fueled” investigation style |
Why This Matters For The Season
Casting a “veteran detective” opposite a chaebol heir who solves crime with cash is a classic odd-couple setup, and the show is clearly building toward the moment she stops fighting his methods and starts using them. That private jet scene isn’t just a fun visual — it’s a character-arc marker, signaling Joo Hye Ra’s shift from skeptical outsider to fully assimilated team leader, which usually sets up bigger stakes (and bigger chaos) as the season progresses.
The new episode airs August 22 at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
