The global pandemic has not come to its end yet and the duration is quite long now. It hit us at the beginning of this year. As the maximum of the world was stuck in their home, the importance of keeping ourselves fit become more important. Statistics across the globe, are also saying people are very much concerned about that.
Recently, Fitbit analyzed its users’ activity metrics and observed a hue positive difference in comparison with last year. The metrics includes step count, active minutes, sleep pattern, and activity type.
During this whole time duration, the research team also witnesses trends in stress-reducing activities like meditation and yoga across APAC countries. This list has the country names like Indian, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, The Philippines, and Singapore.
Among the Indian Fitbit users, specifically, the researchers get some exciting stats –
- 241% hike in yoga activity in 2020 than the last year
- A tide in meditation practice (2381% increase)
- 18 minutes more sleeping time in between March and August
Considering the wider range of all APAC countries, Hong Kong took the most steps, whereas the Philippines is in the totally opposite direction with the fewest steps. Lastly, Australia and New Zealand achieved the most active minutes among the other countries.
