Roblox’s Fish It just unwrapped its biggest update yet! The December 15, 2025 Christmas Event introduces a festive North Pole-themed island packed with 45 new fish species, exclusive rod skins, and Secret-tier catches like Krampus Shark and Emerald Winter Whale. Here’s everything you need to dominate Christmas Island before the event ends.

How to Reach Roblox Christmas Island (2 Routes)

Method	Steps	Time
Portal (Fastest)	From Fisherman Island spawn → Head to shore → Go behind update board → Enter blue portal	30 seconds
Sailing	Talk to dock NPC → Spawn boat → Turn right from spawn → Sail straight ahead	3-5 minutes

The portal method is dramatically faster! Simply teleport instantly instead of navigating the open seas. According to Roblox’s official developer guidelines, events like this typically last 2-3 weeks, so efficiency matters when grinding limited-time catches.

What’s Available on Christmas Island

Fishing Opportunities (45 New Species)

Rarity	Notable Catches	Best Locations
Secret	Krampus Shark, Emerald Winter Whale	Shorelines, icebergs
Legendary	Various Christmas fish	Ponds, deep waters
Common-Rare	40+ festive species	Anywhere on island

The two Secret-tier fish are the grand prizes! Both can spawn at shorelines, ponds, and iceberg areas, though spawn rates remain extremely low. Patient anglers should invest in upgraded rods similar to other Roblox fishing game strategies.

Active Features Now

Rod Skin Crates: Located at the island’s center on a grav-pad. Purchase exclusive Christmas-themed rod skins using Robux while the event lasts.

Gift Factory: Santa’s workshop is accessible now, though interactions are limited. Santa doesn’t offer quests yet—expect rewards in future updates.

Sell Shop: Convert your holiday catches into cash here. Prices reportedly match Fisherman Island rates.

NPC Scott: Find him at the dock to spawn boats anytime, perfect for quick sea access.

Coming Soon (Future Updates)

Santa Doge Shop: This festive dog NPC has a dedicated area that’s currently non-functional. Likely tied to Part 2 of the Christmas Event.

Toy Train Rides: NPC Leo will eventually offer scenic tours around the island—great for screenshots!

Locked Cave: A boarded-up cave entrance in the wild region hints at major content coming in the event’s second phase. Community speculation suggests rare fish spawns or hidden loot.

Grinding Strategy for Secret Fish

Optimal Setup:

Upgrade to the best rod you can afford before heading to Christmas Island
Bring fishing bait (if the game uses bait mechanics)
Rotate between shoreline and pond spots every 15-20 minutes
Fish during off-peak server hours for better spawns

Time Investment: Players report Secret fish having approximately 1/500-1/1000 odds. Budget 5-10 hours of active fishing for both Secret catches, though RNG varies wildly.

Group Grinding: Join friends on private servers to avoid competition for spawn points. Similar strategies work in other collection-based Roblox games.

Limited-Time Vehicle

The update includes an exclusive Christmas vehicle purchasable with Robux. While sailing isn’t required (thanks to the portal), collectors should grab it before the event expires. Vehicles typically don’t return in future years.

Event Duration Estimate

Roblox seasonal events typically run 2-3 weeks. Assuming a January 5-7, 2026 end date gives players approximately 3 weeks total. Don’t sleep on completing your fish collection—these catches won’t be available after the event concludes!

FAQs

Q: Do Christmas Island fish disappear from my inventory after the event?

No! Any fish you catch during the event remain in your collection permanently. However, you won’t be able to catch these species again until Christmas Island potentially returns next year. This makes completing the collection now essential for dedicated anglers.

Q: Can I access Christmas Island year-round, or is it limited-time?

A: Christmas Island is exclusive to the holiday event and will likely disappear when the event ends (estimated early January 2026). The island, its 45 fish species, rod skins, and all associated content are seasonal. Developers may bring it back for future Christmas events, but there’s no guarantee it’ll be identical.
