Great cooking dramas serve more than food. They serve stakes, sizzle and slow-burn chemistry. Final Table looks ready to deliver all three, and its newly released stills hint at a kitchen where a rescue mission and a possible romance simmer side by side.

The Premise: A Battle for the Best Korean Chef

The drama follows talented Korean chefs from around the world as they compete in “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a high-stakes survival competition to crown the best Korean chef. Every plate counts, and only one team can rise to the top.

Final Table : Overview

Detail	Info
Drama	Final Table
Lead chef	Ahn Hyo Seop as Kang Han
Rookie cook	Hong Hwa Yeon as Choi Song Yi
Setting	Familia restaurant and “The Table: K-Chef 2026”
Premiere	October 24 at 10:40 p.m. KST

Meet the Mentor: Kang Han

Ahn Hyo Seop plays Kang Han, an overseas-trained Korean chef with exceptional talent and an outstanding palate. He is about to start at a famous New York restaurant when he visits Familia, a place full of memories of his father. By chance, he ends up as its head chef and joins the competition.

Meet the Pupil: Choi Song Yi

Hong Hwa Yeon plays Choi Song Yi, Familia’s floor manager. She enters the contest to restore the honor of her chef father, who turned his back on the world after being wrongfully disgraced. She has never worked in a kitchen, but she has the dexterity of a chef’s daughter. Under Kang Han’s intensive training, she is set to grow from novice into capable sous chef.

What the Stills Reveal?

The photos trace the pair’s journey from customer and floor manager to teammates with one goal: saving Familia. One still catches Kang Han’s return to the restaurant and the sorrowful look in Song Yi’s eyes as she watches him. Others show the two working side by side as mentor and pupil. In one intense cooking scene, they stand close, and the subtle tension hints at a touch of romance amid the competition.
