FIFA World Cup 2022 – empty seats at France vs Argentina

The FIFA World Cup final has largely been considered the most highly anticipated, and most watched sporting fixture every four years. And no doubt, fans were tuning in from all parts of the world to see the two countries battle it out for the top prize in international football.

But Qatar’s ability to provide a capacity crowd for the sporting spectacle has seriously come under question. Even as the game reached a gripping conclusion, all the way till the penalty shootout, the 88,966-capacity Lusail Stadium had unmanned seats throughout.
