FC Bayern München vs Viking Match Preview, Prediction, Timings, Lineups, Teams, and How to Watch

An unlikely Champions League night unfolds in Norway as underdogs Viking FK host FC Bayern München in a Round 2 clash that looks lopsided on paper but promises a proud home crowd and a European dream worth chasing. For Bayern, it’s a chance to keep their perfect European machine rolling on foreign soil.

FC Bayern München vs Viking: Match Overview

Viking FK welcome Bayern Munich to the SR-Bank Arena in Stavanger, Norway, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, with kickoff at 7:00 PM UTC. It’s a Round 2 fixture in the UEFA Champions League’s league phase, pitting Europe’s giants against one of the competition’s smallest clubs.

What to Expect

The gulf in class is stark — Bayern sit near the very top of the competition’s rankings, while Viking occupy one of the lowest positions among this season’s participants. But Champions League nights are exactly why underdog stories exist, and a raucous home crowd in Stavanger could make life uncomfortable for Bayern’s back line early on.

For Bayern, the priority is control: dominate possession, limit Viking’s set-piece and counter-attacking threats, and convert their overwhelming quality advantage into goals. Expect Vincent Kompany’s side to press high and force the issue from the opening whistle.

Prediction

Bayern Munich’s squad depth, pedigree, and current form make them overwhelming favourites. Viking will need a near-perfect defensive display and a slice of luck to keep the scoreline respectable.

Prediction: Viking FK 0–3 FC Bayern München
