Far Cry 6 players are being mocked by El Presidente for leaving the game pre-maturely

Have you played Far Cry 6? did you get called out for your achievements? And if you fail did the guy himself taunts you? Well, you are not alone.

It seems that El Presidente has taken upon himself to mock the players of Far Cry 6 upon their failure and even at their victories.

The gaming market is extremely competitive and all the latest games are constantly fighting for our attention and playtime. But Ubisoft has brought about an interesting marketing strategy to get gamers to boot up Far Cry 6.

Players who haven’t jumped into Yara for a while are getting emails from Ubisoft trying to get them back into the game. And the interesting part here is that these are all messages directly from Giancarlo Esposito’s El Presidente. And boy, he takes taunting to a whole new level.

A journalist Brendan Sinclair, tweets about the types of emails Ubisoft is sending out and in one email from Ubisoft, we can see that “You disappoint me” in the subject line and “It was amusing watching you fail” in the actual body of the email.

This email shows that El Presidente, the main villain in Far Cry 6, is personally mocking players for leaving the game so soon.

However, Ubisoft isn’t just sending out emails to lapsed players. The taunting is even carried out for people who have put some solid playtime into Far Cry 6.

this stunt by Ubisoft received mixed reactions, as some players were annoyed with a game company pestering them to get back into their game, however, many others including me are amused at the idea of a video game villain emailing players just to insult them in a classy way.

“I kinda understand some of the concern with games (that’s a larger discussion for another thread), but this is basic marketing rather than something darkly sinister.”

IN response Ubisoft stated that “The emails sent to Far Cry 6 players are intended to be a fun and clever way to remind folks to come back to Yara and are written as if from El Presidente himself. We’ve heard from the community and we’ve shared their concern with El Presidente. And know that Chorizo does miss you dearly.”
