More Than Just Lewis Hamilton
While Lewis Hamilton previously joined Fortnite through the Icon Series, this marks the first time the entire championship is represented in the game rather than a single driver. This expansion allows fans to wear racing suits featuring real sponsors and team colors, creating an authentic F1 experience in the virtual world.
The trailer revealed five default skins with options to customize colors and sponsors to match your favorite team, making the collection flexible for fans who support multiple teams or want variety in their cosmetic loadouts.
Why This Collaboration Matters
Emily Prazer, Formula 1’s Chief Commercial Officer, called it an innovative way to connect with fans in unexpected places, allowing players to interact with F1 year-round. With over 650 million registered Fortnite players, this partnership exposes motorsport to gaming’s largest audience.

The November 20 drop strategically precedes the highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix, one of F1’s most spectacular night races. Players can gear up in their team colors before watching their favorite drivers compete on the real track.

What Gamers Can Do Next
Beyond purchasing cosmetics, Fortnite’s Creative mode already features F1-themed maps where players can race on famous circuits like Spa-Francorchamps and the Italian Grand Prix track. This collaboration adds another layer to F1’s growing presence in the gaming world.
