Be One of the 20

Have you ever dreamed of stepping into the shoes of an F1 superstar? Driver Career allows you to do just that. Choose from the current grid of 2024 F1 drivers and embark on a multi-season journey to become a racing legend.

The Driver’s Life

The career of a driver goes beyond racing. It look into into the world of the drivers themselves. Gain recognition, improve your driver rating, and navigate the driver contract market with secret meetings and critical decisions.

Fulfilling Fan Requests

The desire for a refreshed career style has been acknowledged by Lee Mather, Codemasters’ senior creative director. “As Mather points out”, ‘we’ve seen a lot of players in the existing mode, but they say that Driver Career is one of my favorite parts of the game and you didn’t do anything with it.’ This feedback from fans is a direct response to Driver Career.

The Power of Audio

Adding a layer of immersion, Driver Career features real driver audio from F1 broadcasts. You’ll be able to see your chosen driver react to incidents on the track and celebrate victories, which will make the experience all the more realistic.

A Deep Audio Pool

While one driver dominated the 2023 season, F1 24 ensures a wider range of audio for drivers. The team has gotten creative to ensure even drivers from smaller teams have fitting reactions to virtual victories. The creation of a very rich sound cape has been made using numerous Formula 1 archives.

More Career Options

Driver Career isn’t the only option. You can still create your own driver, race as an F2 driver, or take on the challenge of a legendary F1 icon. My Team mode also remains available for those who prefer building their own racing empire.

Cooperative Career

F1 24 introduces a new two-player Driver Career mode. Tackle the challenges together on the same team, or push each other on rival teams. You can even switch between cooperative and solo play throughout your career.

Challenge Career

For those seeking a shorter, curated experience, there’s Challenge Career. This episodic mode allows asynchronous competition with other players, where you vie for leader board glory.

Enhanced Handling

F1 24 promises further refined handling, with a focus on making the cars feel more realistically compliant. The goal is to strike a balance between realism and accessibility.

Realism Through Depth

The development team emphasises that it is not necessary to be very difficult to implement a realistic handling model. In order to allow players to feel the weight transfer and the complexity of the vehicle, in depth simulations are used to create an authentic vehicle.
