Chelsea are internally discussing the prospect of signing Everton’s Anthony Gordon. The player has made 51 appearances in the Premier League, scoring four goals for the Toffees. He is now their new number 10 with Frank Lampard favouring the 21-year-old to spearhead their attack.

An initial bid worth £40 million has been rejected by Everton, with them insisting that he isn’t for sale. However, Chelsea could return with an offer up to £50 million for the youngster.

The speedster managed the most dribbles of any player in Everton’s squad per 90, and also the most sprints. As a result, it is easy to see why Thomas Tuchel is keen to bring the attacker over to Stamford Bridge. Alongside Carney Chukwuemeka, Anthony Gordon could be an option for the future for the German.

Chelsea already have a number of wingers, such as Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who are not getting enough game time. So, there are doubts as to whether Gordon will get ample time amidst all the competition.

Todd Boehly is far from done when it comes to transfers this summer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still being discussed between Barcelona and the board. Wesley Fofana remains a target for the club as well, despite having two bids rejected. They are also in the running to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, despite the uncertainty surrounding his situation.
