Global Esports Games 2023
The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) has recently declared the National Esports Championships (NESC) 2023. The purpose of this event is to select the Indian representatives for the upcoming Global Esports Games (GEG) 2023, which is scheduled to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the Open category, Team India will be participating in three different games. The registration for the preliminary rounds of NESC 2023 will be open until September 2 for DOTA 2, and until September 6 for eFootball 2023 and Street Fighter 6.
The upcoming NESC 2023 tournament will feature highly competitive matches among the skilled players of DOTA 2, Street Fighter 6, and eFootball. The national qualifying rounds for DOTA 2 will begin on September 4th, while the qualifiers for eFootball 2023 and Street Fighter 6 will start on September 9th.
The Presidents of the Esports Federation of India stated, “With the 15th World Esports Championships underway, the Asian Games 2022 coming up, and the Global Esports Games 2023 to follow, Indian Esports will be making waves on the global video-gaming map this year. The NESC 2023 has always ensured a fair selection of our supremely skilled athletes to represent our country on the international stage and we look forward to more of the same this time round. We extend our heartfelt best wishes to all participants, and we are confident that our representatives will make the nation proud in Riyadh,”
After the NESC 2023 event, the eligible athletes will participate in the regional qualifiers against top athletes from Asia to vie for their respective championships. Specifically, in the game DOTA 2, India will face off against Malaysia and Mongolia on September 9th. The dates for the regional qualifiers of eFootball 2023 and Street Fighter 6 have not been announced yet.
Global Esports Games 2023: Time Schedule
ESFI had also declared tournaments for DOTA2 in the women’s division, but no teams registered for participation. The Global Esports Games 2023 (GEG23) is scheduled for December 11 to 16. In the Global Esports Games 2023, we are going to get some spine-chilling games like DOTA 2, Street Fighter, eFootball 2023, and PUBG Mobile. All participants must be at least 18 years old to ensure fairness and competitiveness.

The NESC’23 tournament will follow a double-elimination format. The thrilling moments from the Championships will be broadcast in real-time on ESFI’s official YouTube and Facebook platforms.
