Leadership Vision
“For us, bringing Comic Con to Guwahati is not just about adding a new city, it is about opening a long overdue chapter for the Northeast,” said Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and MD of NODWIN Gaming. He highlighted the region’s creative fire visible in Bihu dances, traditional Mekhela Sador, and passionate gaming communities.
Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, emphasized that the expansion celebrates “every fandom and building authentic experiences” while keeping Comic Con accessible across the country.
Platform for Creative Expression
Comic Con serves as a launchpad for creative careers, bringing together storytelling art and celebrating local talent. The event offers platforms where illustrators, writers, and artists can showcase, sell, and receive feedback on their work while discovering new voices in the creative community.
The Guwahati edition features gaming and esports zones alongside traditional comic, cosplay, and creative studio celebrations, creating a comprehensive pop culture experience that blends local traditions with global influences.
