Six months of hard work, gone in a flash — and fans still didn’t give up on him. That’s the story behind the Ekaki release date, and honestly, it makes the finale hit even harder. After a heartbreaking delay, Ashish Chanchlani’s horror-comedy thriller finally wrapped up, and it did NOT disappoint.
Ekaki Release Date: Overview
Chapter 5, titled The Conqueror, was originally slated for January 30. But a hard drive crash wiped out nearly 20% of the VFX footage — almost six months of work lost overnight. Ashish personally apologized to fans and promised a finale worth the wait. True to his word, the chapter finally dropped on 25 February 2026 via ACV Studios’ YouTube channel, racking up over 8 lakh views almost instantly.

Why the Delay Made the Finale More Special
The trailer itself became a moment — Ashish paid a dark tribute to the beloved 2003 classic Koi… Mil Gaya, twisting nostalgic childhood memories into something genuinely unsettling. It’s rare to see a creator turn a production disaster into a marketing masterstroke, but that’s exactly what happened here.
