Carlo Ancelotti reportedly irritated Eden Hazard as the Italian neglected him again in Real Madrid‘s match on Thursday. Hazard, 31, was an unused substitute in Real Madrid’s 1-0 Copa del Rey loss to Athletic Bilbao, with Ancelotti preferring not to deploy the Belgian even though the team needed a goal.

Unfortunately, the £150 million man spent 15 minutes warming up on the touchline in the expectation of being used, only to be benched, much to Gareth Bale’s delight.
Hazard is baffled by Ancelotti’s unwillingness to give him game time. The experienced Italian has always claimed that his inability to call on Hazard is down to the form of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.
However, given his ‘insignificant’ role, the Belgian is said to believe that if he can’t even receive game time for a Copa del Rey game – a competition of minimal importance for Madrid – the chances of him ever having a chance are slim.
