What Is the Story About?

The film picks up as the fallout from the earlier chapters continues to haunt Vijay’s family. This time the stakes are higher. Jaideep Ahlawat enters as SP Crime Branch Rajveer Singh Tomar, who is determined to find whoever is behind Sameer Deshmukh’s disappearance and make Vijay pay. Tabu returns as Meera Deshmukh, driven by a stronger desire for revenge than ever. The result is a confrontation that has been building across the entire franchise.

What Works?

Abhishek Pathak deserves credit for resisting the urge to repeat himself. Instead of recycling old tricks, the screenplay adds a fresh layer to the central conflict while keeping the emotional core intact. The face-off between Devgn and Ahlawat before the interval is a highlight, built on two very different screen energies. The courtroom scenes are just as sharp, with Prakash Raj’s presence setting the stakes right from the opening sequence. The background score keeps the tension high, and the climax is the real payoff, answering the story’s big questions and closing the saga in a fitting way.

The Performances

Ajay Devgn remains the franchise’s emotional anchor, expressing fear, intelligence and resolve through restraint, often with just his eyes. Jaideep Ahlawat is menacing without ever turning theatrical, while Tabu brings pain, anger and conviction to Meera. Shriya Saran revisits Nandini’s innocence, Rajat Kapoor brings dignity, and Kamlesh Sawant lands the film’s few comic beats. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav do decent work with limited material.

What Doesn’t Work

The only real complaint is the pace. The first half takes its time to find momentum, but the second half more than makes up for it.

Box Office Buzz

The film opens to strong anticipation, with advance sales of around 4 lakh tickets at national chains, reportedly the seventh-biggest advance of all time. For more updates, check our Bollywood news on TechnoSports and our box office coverage.

Conclusion

Drishyam: The Conclusion delivers on writing, performances, tension and payoff. It’s a strong, satisfying finale and well worth watching on the big screen.
