Happy birthday, Tarak — and what a gift this is for fans. Director Prashanth Neel dropped the first glimpse of Dragon on Jr NTR’s birthday (May 20), and it is exactly the kind of explosive, spine-chilling introduction the internet needed. This isn’t just a teaser — it’s a statement.
Jr NTR as LUGER — The Assassin-in-Chief
Prashanth Neel — best known for KGF Chapter 1, KGF Chapter 2, and Salaar — is back with a gritty action drama titled Dragon. The filmmaker introduced Jr NTR as LUGER, the assassin-in-chief of the Afghan Trading Company.
The first glimpse runs for 4 minutes and 28 seconds, where Neel not only showcases the world he has built but also introduces all pivotal characters. Jr NTR appears absolutely deadly, standing on a cliff holding a sword soaked in blood.
The character’s chilling dialogue sets the tone perfectly for what promises to be one of the most intense Indian action films in recent memory.
Dragon Star-Studded Cast — Every Name Adds Weight
Anil Kapoor marks his Kannada film debut with Dragon, playing Raghuveer Rathod, the Chief of the Narcotics Bureau. Rukmini Vasanth, known for Kantara: Chapter 1, plays the female lead.
The wider ensemble includes Biju Menon, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, and Sidhant Gupta, among many others — truly a lavish, pan-India cast.
