Douglas Luiz to join Arsenal in a deal worth £20 million

Arsenal are looking into the transfer market to deal with their midfield injury crisis. They have had their options limited with injuries to Mohamed Elneny and Thomas Partey. And as a result, a move for Douglas Luiz is now in the works.

The Brazilian will be looking to make it to the national team for the World Cup later this year. And he will have to compete with the likes of Casemiro, Fred and Fabinho for a place. So, the move to North London will provide him a better chance to earn the call-up in November.

Douglas Luiz expected to join Arsenal

Leander Dendoncker is one of the names that has been linked with Aston Villa as the replacement for Douglas Luiz. His signing is expected to be made official very soon, with both clubs in agreement over a move.

The deal for the Brazilian defensive midfielder is not easy, but he is very keen on the opportunity and is pushing to join the club. Personal terms are not an issue and Arsenal are offering a fee worth £20 million for the player.

Arsenal have had a remarkable performance in the transfer window this summer, signing Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos. As a result, the addition of Luiz will make their squad even more solid as they continue their perfect start to the season.
