Why the Delay?
The makers confirmed the postponement on social media, sharing a playful update: “Suri and Divya are ready to cast their magic and start the trouble!” While the exact reason for pushing the date wasn’t detailed, the extra three weeks likely gives the team room for last-mile promotions before its theatrical run.
What’s the Story About?
At its heart, Don’t Trouble The Trouble is a quirky, magic-laced adventure. Fahadh Faasil plays Suri, a street magician and neighborhood troublemaker in Hyderabad. When one of his spells accidentally makes a mysterious young girl named Divya disappear, chaos follows — only for Suri to discover she’s actually a genie with real powers. What starts as mischief soon spirals into a high-stakes, wonder-filled ride through the city.
Saurabh Sachdeva also plays a key role, rounding out a cast built for a fun, family-friendly fantasy outing — something you don’t see too often in South Indian cinema right now.
The SS Rajamouli Connection
Adding extra weight to the buzz, the film is presented by SS Rajamouli, the acclaimed director behind global blockbusters. With his son SS Karthikeya co-producing, the family’s backing signals confidence in Shashank Yeleti’s fantasy vision reaching a wide, multilingual audience across Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam markets.
Fahadh Faasil’s Packed Slate
Away from magic and mischief, Fahadh Faasil recently appeared in an extended cameo in Idhayam Murali, now streaming on Netflix. Looking ahead, he’s set to star in Karate Chandran and has also announced a new collaboration with Panorama Studios — a packed year by any measure.
