Who Is Na Dae Il?
Jang Seung Jo plays Na Dae Il, a newly appointed surgery professor at Guseo University Hospital. He is a former military surgeon who served for many years, which means he has deep clinical experience. You can read more about that background on Wikipedia’s military medicine page. His arrival is set to make him a new rival to Gye Soo Jung, the genius surgeon who challenges a corrupt medical establishment.
A Flawless Surface
In the newly released stills, Na Dae Il looks like the ideal professor. He has a polished appearance and a relaxed smile, the kind of image that makes colleagues trust him quickly. It’s a classic setup for a character who may be more complicated than he seems.
A Glimpse of Something Colder
The mood shifts in one still, where a fleeting cold gaze breaks through his friendly look. That one detail raises questions about what is really behind his charm. Is he a genuine rival or a hidden threat? The drama is keeping that question open.
Tension in a Handshake
Even a simple handshake carries tension. In a still, Na Dae Il shakes hands with Jang Hee Sook, played by Lee Jung Eun, and the moment feels loaded. It hints at turmoil he could bring into the lives of both Gye Soo Jung and Jang Hee Sook, and it builds curiosity about the story ahead.
