Why This Casting Makes Perfect Sense
Teagan Croft brings dramatic depth from her role in DC’s “Titans,” proving she can handle action-packed sequences and emotional storytelling. At the right age to portray the innocent yet adventurous Rapunzel, Croft embodies the character’s journey from sheltered princess to courageous heroine.
Milo Manheim, meanwhile, already has Disney DNA coursing through him. His charming performance in the “Zombies” franchise showcased his musical abilities, comedic timing, and leading man charisma—everything Flynn Rider requires. Plus, his chemistry-building experience from multiple Disney Channel projects makes him ideal for the romantic banter central to Tangled’s appeal.
The Dream Team Behind the Scenes
Director Michael Gracey, who orchestrated the visual spectacle of “The Greatest Showman,” knows how to blend fantasy with heart. His expertise in musical storytelling promises that Tangled’s iconic songs will translate beautifully to live-action.
Screenwriter Jennifer Kaytin Robinson brings fresh perspective to classic stories, having modernized narratives in “Thor: Love and Thunder” and “Do Revenge.” Her touch ensures this won’t be a shot-for-shot remake but rather a reimagining that honors the original while adding contemporary depth.
This casting reflects Disney’s smart strategy: choosing talented actors who can grow with the role rather than relying solely on existing fame. For fans tracking Disney live-action remakes, this signals commitment to authentic casting over box office insurance.
