Dhamaal 4 Wraps Its Box Office Run as Bollywood’s Latest Comedy Hit

Dhamaal 4 is heading into its final theatrical stretch, and Ajay Devgn’s comedy franchise has done exactly what it set out to do — deliver a solid, profitable run even as newer releases start eating into its screen share. The film added Rs. 17.75 crore in Week 3, pushing its total to Rs. 151.25 crore nett at the Indian box office.

Directed by Indra Kumar, the film is now facing stiff competition from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which has been eating into its show count — though the two films largely cater to different audience segments.

Dhamaal 4: Overview

How the Third Week Played Out

Week 3 saw the film settle into a steady decline, with Friday-to-Sunday collections of Rs. 2.25 crore, Rs. 4.25 crore, and Rs. 5.50 crore respectively, before tapering off through the weekdays to just Rs. 75 lakh by Thursday. The 53% week-on-week drop signals the film has largely run its natural course in theaters and is now winding down.

Why This Number Matters

Closing around Rs. 160 crore would put Dhamaal 4 comfortably ahead of Welcome to the Jungle, another comedy release this year, and confirms its status as a Clean Hit — even if it didn’t quite reach the heights suggested by its strong opening weekend.

More notably, the film becomes the fourth Bollywood Hit of 2026, joining Border 2, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and Bhooth Bangla. Interestingly, three of these four are franchise entries, pushing back against last year’s “franchise fatigue” narrative that suggested sequels were losing steam with Indian audiences.

What’s Next?

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day now dominating screens and The Odyssey also holding steady in theaters, Dhamaal 4 is expected to complete its theatrical journey quietly in the coming days, closing out as a comfortable commercial success for the franchise.
