Ajay Devgn’s laughter riot is proving that comedy never goes out of style. Dhamaal 4, directed by Indra Kumar, pulled in an estimated Rs 8.50 crore on its first Monday — a modest 40% dip from opening day — pushing its 4-day domestic total to a solid Rs 73 crore nett.

What makes this run interesting is the confidence behind it. Backed by T-Series Films, the makers skipped the usual discounted Tuesday pricing strategy, a move only bold when a film is genuinely connecting with audiences. The real test now shifts to Wednesday, since a hold above Rs 7 crore would all but confirm a Clean Hit verdict.

Dhamaal 4 Day-Wise Collection Breakdown

Day	Collection (Nett)
Friday	Rs 14.00 crore
Saturday	Rs 22.50 crore
Sunday	Rs 28.00 crore
Monday	Rs 8.50 crore (est.)
Total	Rs 73.00 crore

For context, rival release Welcome to the Jungle dropped from Rs 8.25 crore to Rs 6 crore on its own Monday, partly due to schools reopening across North India after summer break. Since fewer states are still on vacation now, Dhamaal 4’s Wednesday drop is expected to be gentler. With nearly a three-week clear run ahead and no fresh big-ticket competition, the franchise — whose comedic roots trace back to the original Dhamaal film series — looks well placed to sustain its momentum through the week.
