Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Release Date on Netflix: The Reality

Unfortunately, Demon Slayer Infinity Castle release date on Netflix remains uncertain. Sony confirmed to entertainment outlets that after its theatrical run, the film will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll—not Netflix.

Here’s why the confusion exists: In 2021, Netflix signed an output deal with Sony Pictures that brings Sony theatrical releases to Netflix after their cinema runs. This deal delivered blockbusters like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Bullet Train to the platform.

However, Infinity Castle falls outside this agreement. While Sony Pictures Releasing helped distribute the film, Crunchyroll owns the actual distribution rights. Since Sony acquired Crunchyroll in 2021, the anime streaming service operates separately from Sony’s theatrical output deal with Netflix.

Where to Watch Demon Slayer Infinity Castle

After theaters, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will stream on Crunchyroll, which has become the primary home for the franchise’s films. Anime enthusiasts already subscribed to Crunchyroll will have immediate access once the streaming release happens.

Currently, all seasons of Demon Slayer are available on Netflix US, which creates understandable confusion about where the movie will land. Netflix has successfully licensed the anime series, but theatrical films follow different distribution paths.

Could Netflix Get Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Eventually?

There’s hope! Given Netflix’s history of licensing Demon Slayer seasons, they could potentially negotiate for Infinity Castle in the future—especially when the next two planned Demon Slayer movies approach release. Licensing deals happen regularly in the streaming world.

The film’s massive success (breaking records previously held by Mugen Train) makes it valuable content that Netflix might pursue down the line. Similar to how The Numbers tracks its theatrical performance, streaming numbers could eventually influence licensing decisions.

What Happens in Infinity Castle?

Without major spoilers, the movie throws Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps into the heart of Muzan’s Infinity Castle fortress. Surrounded by countless demons including the remaining Upper Moon Six members, they must navigate the labyrinth while racing against time to defeat Muzan once and for all. The stakes have never been higher.
