The Delhi high court has offered it’s verdict on the Anwar Ali transfer case from Mohun Bagan SG to Delhi FC, and then to East Bengal. The honourable high court has decided that the entire proceedings conducted by the AIFF’s PSC will be set aside, and that the case will be heard from scratch again.
The NOC has also been set aside for the time being, which means that Ali cannot be considered an East Bengal player for the time being. Moreover, he will not be available to feature for his new club in the ISL till the issue is resolved.

The high court has ruled that the entire case will be heard from the beginning tomorrow, and as a result of this, Mohun Bagan SG are claiming that the defender is still their player. The reason being that he had signed a four-year loan deal from Delhi FC, and was punished for unjust termination.
The court had asked for the grounds of the decision to the AIFF lawyer, who could not produce the same. As a result, the court questioned how a decision was reached without grounds, even though historically, FIFA laws have provided grounds later, and the case could reportedly have been handled better.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the PSC will reach the same decision or whether there is a change in verdict based on the new hearing process.
