The Saudi Pro League is seeing another major addition, as David Hancko arrives at Al Nassr for a headline-grabbing €33 million. Celebrated for his leadership and composure on the field, Hancko’s switch from Feyenoord to Riyadh is more than a career move—it is a powerful message from Al Nassr as the club continues to aim high.
While top European clubs watched closely, Al Nassr acted decisively and closed the deal. Official confirmation came from transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
By the Numbers: The Hancko Transfer Details
David Hancko’s transfer to Al Nassr was secured with a €33 million fee, potentially rising with add-ons, making it one of the most significant defensive signings in the league’s history. At 27 years old, Hancko signs a contract that runs until June 2028, solidifying the club’s defense for the next several seasons.

| Transfer Fee | €33 million + add-ons |
| Contract Duration | Until June 2028 |
| Previous Club | Feyenoord |

Why Al Nassr Targeted Hancko
The deal came at a crucial time. Aymeric Laporte’s future at the club was uncertain, leaving a defensive gap. Hancko, described by supporters as “the most outstanding player in the league right now,” became the perfect choice for replacement, bringing consistency, athleticism, and leadership.
Despite interest from Atlético Madrid and Juventus, those clubs offered bids far below Feyenoord’s valuation. As Feyenoord voices shared, “other clubs in Europe didn’t want to pay the amount he’s worth… three years running the best CB in the Eredivisie, almost never injured, played a good Euros with Slovakia as well and we only got insulting bids from Atletico etc. I can understand he just wants to secure the bag now, he was one of our best signings ever.”
David Hancko: Feyenoord Stats and Impact
Hancko shone at Feyenoord, tallying 140 appearances, 15 goals, and 12 assists—top numbers for a central defender over three seasons.
| Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022-23 | 48 | 6 | 5 |
| 2023-24 | 47 | 5 | 4 |
| 2024-25 | 45 | 4 | 3 |

What David Hancko Brings to Al Nassr
- European Experience: Proven against Europe’s top teams and with Slovakia.
- Versatility: Can play as centre-back or left-back.
- Leadership: Captain experience for club and country.
- Goal Threat: Fifteen goals for Feyenoord show his value on set-pieces.
Transfer Market Effects
Hancko’s move could trigger further transfers. With his arrival, Al Nassr may permit Aymeric Laporte to leave—a transfer Athletic Bilbao is monitoring. As new arrivals enter, other big moves could follow.
