Dare Devil First Look: Ajith Kumar’s Fiery New Avatar With Adhik Ravichandran Begins Filming November 2

Thala fans, mark your calendars — the wait for Ajith Kumar’s next big-screen outing is finally narrowing down to a date. Dare Devil, his reunion project with Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran, rolls cameras on November 2, 2026, and the makers just dropped a first-look poster that’s already got timelines buzzing.

In the poster, Ajith sits commandingly on a red chair, dressed in crisp white, salt-and-pepper hair on full display, a die held lazily in his fingers — equal parts calm and menace. It’s giving strong Billa energy, and honestly, that’s exactly the swagger this franchise-sized film needed to announce itself.

What We Know About Dare Devil So Far

Why This Reunion Matters

Ajith and Adhik previously teamed up for Good Bad Ugly, a stylish actioner that leaned hard into fan service. This time, insiders say the tone shifts — Dare Devil is being built as a broader family entertainer rather than a Red Dragon-style gangster saga, with “several surprises” reportedly in store. Shalini stepping in as producer also marks a personal milestone, tying the project closer to home for the actor.

Adding to the excitement is composer Anirudh Ravichander, who reunites with Ajith after the chartbusting scores of Vedhalam and Vidaamuyarchi. If history is any indicator, expect the film’s music to start trending long before the trailer even drops.

A Quick Look Back: Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly

Ajith was last seen as AK, a former don known as Red Dragon in Good Bad Ugly, who spends 18 years in prison after his son’s birth, only to return and clear his son’s name from a false case. The film also starred Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, and Jackie Shroff, and became one of his most talked-about outings in recent years. Ajith Kumar himself has built a career spanning over three decades in Tamil cinema, a journey documented in detail on Wikipedia.
