Critical BGMI Issues Krafton Must Fix Right Now in 2025

BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) continues to face persistent issues that are frustrating millions of players. Despite having over 100 million downloads, Krafton still hasn’t addressed several game-breaking problems that demand immediate attention.

Major Version 3.9 Problems

Game-Breaking Issues Demanding Fixes

1. Mic Echo Bug Nightmare

Version 3.9 introduced a “mic echo bug that makes in-game squad communication a nightmare” – a critical flaw in a team-based battle royale game. Players report:

• Double audio output during voice chat
• Inability to coordinate strategies effectively
• Frustrating team communication breakdowns

2. Performance Deterioration

Major updates consistently introduce “frequent game crashes, frame drops” that severely impact gameplay. These technical issues include:

• Mid-match crashes causing ranking penalties
• Inconsistent frame rates affecting aim precision
• Device overheating during extended sessions

3. Persistent Voice Chat Problems

Despite “consistent reports from players since early 2023, Krafton has yet to fix the issue” with voice communication – a fundamental feature for squad-based gameplay.

Map Rotation Bias

Krafton continues to “prioritise Erangel for events, sidelining fan-favourite maps like Livik and Karakin”. This creates:

• Limited map variety in tournaments
• Reduced engagement from diverse player preferences
• Stagnant competitive meta

iOS-Specific Lag Issues

Recent reports highlight severe performance problems on iOS devices, with Krafton acknowledging they’re “actively investigating the cause and working with the highest priority to resolve the issue”. However, promises of fixes often go unfulfilled.

Anti-Cheat System Failures

The game’s anti-cheat system remains inadequate, with “innocent players getting flagged” while actual cheaters continue disrupting matches. Players demand:

• Improved ban review processes
• Better customer support response
• Fair treatment for legitimate players

What Krafton Must Do Immediately

Technical Priorities

• Hotfix the mic echo bug affecting team communication
• Optimize performance to eliminate crashes and frame drops
• Implement proper testing before major updates

Community Engagement

• Transparent communication about known issues and timelines
• Regular bug fix updates instead of waiting for major releases
• Player feedback integration in development cycles

Industry Impact

With other battle royale games gaining traction, BGMI’s technical issues risk losing players to competitors. The game’s success in India depends on Krafton’s ability to deliver stable, enjoyable experiences rather than feature-heavy updates that break core functionality.

The recent version 3.9 problems exemplify Krafton’s pattern of prioritizing new content over fundamental stability – a strategy that’s increasingly frustrating the loyal BGMI community.
