What’s Changing — and Why It Matters
The overhaul follows a smart phased approach — existing blocks B, C, K, and L will be retained and refreshed, while blocks A, D, E, F, G, H, and J will be entirely redeveloped. Phase 1 begins with demolition of blocks E, F, G, and half of H, followed by blocks D, J, and the remaining H in Phase 2.

One of the biggest highlights is that Eden Gardens will become India’s first stadium with a Skydeck, offering fans a breathtaking panoramic viewing experience. New three-storey galleries across Blocks D to J will significantly improve seating, comfort, and sightlines, alongside premium VIP sections with lounges, restaurants, and bars.
Eden Garden’s Architectural Vision
The proposed façade emphasises modularity and verticality to highlight the Kolkata city skyline, while green terraces will literally bring the “Garden” back into Eden Gardens. A continuous compression ring roof structure is also being considered to give the stadium a clean, iconic aesthetic. Revsportz
