Quick Recap: Where We Left Off

Season 2 picks up after Jeong Jin-man’s faked death, with Ji-an now in control of the secret weapons marketplace Murthehelp. Episodes 3 and 4 saw the Babylon organization escalate its hunt for Ji-an, bringing in international assassins from Japan and China to capture her and use her as leverage against Jin-man. Along the way, Ji-an discovered that Woo-jin has hidden ties to Jin-man’s world, deepening the tension between the two.

What to Expect From Episodes 5 and 6

With Ji-an and Jin-man finally reunited following the coastal battle, the upcoming episodes are expected to focus on their next move: regrouping and launching a coordinated counterattack against Babylon alongside the Murthehelp team. Promotional material has already hinted at a joint offensive, suggesting the back half of the season will lean harder into the show’s action-thriller roots.

The series is based on Kang Ji-young’s novel The Murderer’s Shopping Mall, and stars Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun, both reprising their roles from the acclaimed first season, part of the broader wave of Korean drama content that has found global streaming success in recent years.
