Chris Evert Family Snapshot Overview

A Grandmother’s Love in Full Bloom

Evert shared an endearing snap of her son Nicholas and grandson Hayden spending an adorable moment at the beach, capturing the precious father-son bonding time that resonates with families everywhere. The simple yet powerful image showcases Nicholas cradling young Hayden, both appearing completely at peace in their beach environment.

The tennis legend became a grandmother in May 2024, marking a new chapter that she describes as bringing “double the fun.” In previous interviews, Evert expressed her love for her daughter-in-law Rebecca by calling her the ‘daughter she never had’, highlighting the expanding family dynamics that bring her so much joy.

From Champion to Doting Grandmother

Chris Evert’s life has evolved beautifully from her days dominating women’s tennis with 18 Grand Slam singles titles. She frequently takes to social media to share updates about her family, especially her grandson, posting pictures of herself with Hayden and sharing a picture of him after he turned one year old on May 24, 2025.

The American legend has been remarkably open about how becoming a grandmother brought a different kind of happiness as she enjoys watching her son Nicholas embrace fatherhood. This beach moment represents just one of many heartwarming family snapshots she’s shared with her followers.

Family First: The Mill Legacy

Nicholas Mill, born in 1994, has carved his own path away from the tennis courts. He currently co-hosts the “Mill House” podcast alongside his father Andy Mill, the Olympic downhill skier Evert married in 1988. Together, they welcomed three sons before divorcing in 2006, but the family remains close-knit.

When asked what her grandson might call her, Evert admitted the family hasn’t settled on a name yet, saying she would prefer to let Hayden choose it himself as he grows older—a sweet touch showing her thoughtful approach to grandparenting.

Life Beyond Tennis

Beyond sharing precious family moments, Evert stays connected to tennis through her Evert Tennis Academy and work as an ESPN commentator. Her life today balances professional commitments with what matters most: family time.

After battling ovarian cancer twice—most recently defeating it again in 2024—Evert’s perspective on life has deepened. After beating cancer for the second time in 2024, she said: “I’m in love with this baby boy already, it makes me want to live even more”. These words underscore how profoundly Hayden has impacted her life.

The beach photo serves as another reminder that life’s greatest victories often happen off the court, in quiet moments with loved ones beneath the sun and sand.
