Diego Moreira to sign for Chelsea on a free transfer

The deal is at the final stages, and should be made official very soon. His value is expected to increase significantly in the coming years, which could see him develop into an interesting prospect for the first team.

PSG, Manchester City, Liverpool and AC Milan were all interested in signing the player. But, he has chosen to be a part of Chelsea’s new project. Benfica are very disappointed in having to lose him for free, as he is one of their many incredible academy products.

Diego Moreira currently plays for Benfica B, and has scored and assisted twice in 19 Liga Sabseg matches. He will join the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto, who will also be joining the squad next season. But whether or not he will jump directly into the first team is what remains to be seen.
