Most people celebrate their birthday with cake and gifts. Stray Kids’ Changbin celebrated his by giving away $70,000. On August 11, the rapper marked his special day with a donation that’s now warming hearts across the K-pop world.

What Changbin Actually Did

Changbin donated 100 million won (around $70,000) to the Samsung Medical Center, splitting it evenly between two causes: covering treatment costs for children and adolescent patients, and funding emotional-support programs for their families. In a heartfelt statement, he credited his fans’ love for making the gesture possible, saying he hopes his contribution brings even a small sense of hope to those who need it most.

Changbin: Not His First Act of Generosity

This isn’t a one-off moment for Changbin. He’s built a quiet but consistent track record of giving back:

Year	Cause	Contribution
2023	Turkey-Syria earthquake relief	Donated + joined The Promise’s Honors Club
2025	Gyeongsang wildfire recovery	Donated with fellow Stray Kids members
2026	Samsung Medical Center (birthday)	100 million won ($70,000)

The Timing Couldn’t Be Better

The donation comes right as Stray Kids are riding high on their comeback with new mini album “THIS & THAT,” released August 7, and mid-swing on their global “RUN IT” world tour. Even amid a packed comeback schedule, Changbin made time to give back — a detail fans are calling classic him.

Happy birthday, Changbin!
