Five months out from his military discharge, Cha Eun Woo is already plotting his return — and it looks like it’ll come with a side of great food.
What’s The News?
On August 11, reports surfaced that Cha Eun Woo has selected “Seorabeol Knife” (literal title) as his first project after discharge. His agency Fantagio confirmed he’s been offered a role and is currently reviewing it. Nothing’s locked in yet, but the buzz is real.
Why This Drama Is A Big Deal
“Seorabeol Knife” is a cooking-themed romance drama directed by Jang Tae Yoo — the same director behind last year’s smash hit “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” which peaked at a stellar 17.1 percent viewership rating. Landing a director with that track record for a comeback project is a strong signal of how seriously this is being positioned.

The Comeback Timeline
Cha Eun Woo enlisted in the military in July 2025 and has been serving as a member of the military band. With roughly five months remaining, fans are counting down not just to his discharge, but to what could be one of the most anticipated K-drama comebacks of the year.
Cha Eun Woo, a member of the popular boy group ASTRO, has built a strong acting career alongside his music work over the past decade.
Until an official announcement drops, fans can revisit his performance in “A Good Day to be a Dog.” For more comeback trackers and drama casting news, visit TechnoSports for continuous entertainment updates.
The Bottom Line
Nothing is confirmed yet, but a hit director plus a beloved idol equals a comeback project worth watching closely. If Cha Eun Woo signs on, “Seorabeol Knife” could be one of 2027’s most talked-about dramas.
