CESL and IIT Bombay to set up EV charging infrastructure across Country

State- possessed Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL) inked a letter of association with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay to apply electric vehicle charging structure across the country, as per a PTI report. The letter was inked by Mahua Acharya, MD and CEO of CESL and professor AM Pradeep, associate doyen of Research and Development, IIT-B.

Under this association, both parties will unite to work on technological advancements in the electric vehicle charging sphere by development of flagship products, standardization of specialized specifications, results  for meeting EV charging capabilities, and customized results for Indian EV charging ecosystem.

Mahua Acharya participated in the report that the association with the institute will significantly enhance the technological advancement of the electric vehicle charging structure. “Developing a feasible geography  with strong EV structure is the key to cultivating consumer confidence in electric vehicles and CESL is proud to be precipitously leading enterprise to promotee-mobility in India,”she said. CESL is also fastening on furnishing clean, dependable and affordable energy.

Prof. Swaroop Ganguly, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay, said, “The cooperation comes at the cusp of India’s EV revolution. We’re thankful to CESL for this association which will streamline India’s sweats in switching to electric vehicles ecosystem. The cooperation will foster and stimulate in line with India’s global and domestic commitments to reduce carbon emigrations, particularly from the transport sector.”

India has entered the arena of electrification and the government is  also encouraging startups to introduce technology to make electric  vehicles affordable for the millions. States have also formed their colorful EV programs and are encouraging people to borrow EVs with colorful subvention schemes.
