Samsung reportedly in work of producing the 5nm LPE process nodes
Samsung is one of Asia’s biggest tech companies, but it is not news that the company is struggling with its processor market. The companies processors have performed relatively low than expected and failed miserably to act against their competitor.
However, we already know that Samsung has no intention of backing down. The South Korean giant is reportedly developing a new 5nm LPE or Low Power Early node. But earlier, it was rumored that the company is facing issues with the 5nm node’s mass production. However, the company has now secured an $850 million deal with Qualcomm. According to this deal, the company will fulfill Snapdragon 875 and Snapdragon X60 5G modem for its partner. Now the company has reported that 5nm LPE nodes production has taken off, which will be the first step in Samsung’s journey of producing high and mighty chipsets.
The 5nm LPE process has various advantages over its predecessors. The node offers a 10 percent increase in performance improvement along with a 20 percent power reduction. The nodes utilize the same CPU clock speeds and design as any other processor, but the process node delivers a boatload of benefits for flagship smartphones.
According to sources, Samsung’s new 5nm process node will be much faster and offers more performance increase than its previous 7nm process node. The method used by the company to manufacture the process isn’t anything new, but some improvements suggest that Samsung will include many advances in the new process node. The first chipset to use the new 5nm LPE node will be the Exynos and 2100. The SoC will head against the Snapdragon 875 and take full advantage of the latest ARM’s Cortex-X1 super core.
According to sources, the Exynos 2100 is clocked at 3.00GHz of speeds due to its Cortex-X1 super core. It means that if Samsung manages to optimize cooling for its upcoming flagship smartphones, then the Cortex-X1 could reach even higher frequencies. Samsung is also rumored to mass-produce Snapdragon 875 and Snapdragon X60 5G modems for its competitor Qualcomm, hence there will be some heated competition between the two rivals.

Airtel surpasses Jio in terms of net subscriber additions for the first time
When reliance Jio entered the telecom market, it shook the industry to its core. Most of the telecoms either gave up or merged with other businesses to secure their future. Bharti Airtel is the one telecom that has stood tall against the onslaught from Jio for four years now.
Now it seems that Airtel is shifting towards an offensive against Jio. With subscriber additions, expanding its postpaid customer base, from taking on Jio in the broadband fiber-to-the-home market, and developing its own 5G free radio access network. Airtel seems to be in the mood of not backing down.
Recently, Airtel announced its second-quarter 2020-21 (FY21) results, and to everyone’s surprise, the company declared its net subscriber addition of 13.9 million, most of which are in 4G. The numbers are almost double what Jio managed to acquire in the same quarter.
This is the first time that Airtel has surpassed Jio in terms of net additions.
With the increase in subscribers, Airtel’s average revenue per user (ARPU) is 3 percent. It is partly because of 4G subscriber additions and also due to an increase in postpaid users.
According to sources, the slowing down of Jio in net additions is because of the company reducing its 4G phone offering. Its 4G phone bundling attracted 2G customers to upgrade to its 4G network at a low cost.
Jio has recently announced its joint venture with Google to launch a low-cost smartphone powered by Android. But reports claim that the production is still three to four months far away.
This gap may very well serve as a boon for Airtel, which can leverage Jio’s lack of bundle offering and attract even more subscribers to its network.
Airtel increasing its customer base is an indication that the telecom is gearing up to take on Jio in a big way. As to what will happen in this head-to-head collision between India’s two telecom giants will only be known after Jio releases its new smartphone bundle.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X spotted running with RTX 3080 on Userbenchmark
Just before the new AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors‘ actual availability, we are seeing a lot of benchmarks and numbers floating across the internet. Both the upcoming Ryzen 9 5950X and Ryzen 5 5600X have been spotted on Userbenchmark, and now finally, we see the 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X in action.
Like all other benchmarks, this one too is courtesy of @TUM_APISAK who has spotted this upcoming Zen 3 based CPU coupled with an RTX 3080.
As we see in the Userbenchmark database, the Ryzen 7 5800X enjoys healthy numbers in terms of both single and multi-core performance. I also compared it against its current competing Intel Core i7-10700K and you can see the AMD CPU to be a better one undoubtedly.
As we see, the Ryzen 7 5800X is 7% better with just 2 benchmarks, and the margin should increase in the coming days. The thing that you should see is that the gaming performance difference, for gaming, desktop as well as productivity, in all aspects it defeats the eight-core Intel competitor.
You can also overclock it with proper cooling to get the most out of the upcoming 8-core beast from team Red. As a whole, much like its brother CPUs, the upcoming Ryzen 7 5800X is better than Intel in gaming as well as productivity!!!

Intel Gen12 HD Graphics NEO spotted on Whitley server platform
The Blue team is quite busy to refine its mobile chips and its new Xe graphics embedded onto it to tackle AMD’s Ryzen 4000 processors. In the meantime, they seem to be refining their embedded Intel HD graphics as well.
Finally, we have spotted the new Intel Gen12 HD graphics benchmark, which is supposed to be featured on the Ice Lake-based Whitley server platform. This is an upcoming server CPU series from Intel, which seems to have decent integrated graphics.

As we see in the Geekbench OpenCL benchmark, the Intel Gen12 HD Graphics NEO seems to have a decent score of 25475 points, and this is because two server CPUs are running together. As we see, the upcoming Ice Lake-SP processors are running on Ubuntu with 48 cores and 96 threads, meaning each server CPU having 24 cores and 48 threads, paired with 128GB RAM.
That’s why we see the Intel Gen12 HD Graphics NEO with 512 Compute Units, 1.15GHz max frequency, and about 6.36GB VRAM. The new Ice Lake-based Intel Whitley server platform seems to be good enough on basic graphics requirements, whereas we have no idea about the CPU bound performance as of now.
Having appeared on the benchmarks does prove the reality of the upcoming server platform from Intel and we can expect a launch sometime in 2021.

Developers behind the Mitron App launches Atmanirbhar app to promote Indian based developer creations
We already know that after google updated its latest google play policy, there has been an uproar in the developer community. Many Indian developers are pushing forth an independent app store for android that will be free of Google 30% tax policy.
After much speculation, the developers behind the Mitron app have launched a new app called Atmanirbhar Apps that promotes apps made in India. Mitron app is a TikTok like video-making platform, and much like its predecessor, the Atmanirbhar app also aims at increasing India’s self-reliant ecosystem.
The app description for the Atmanirbhar app reads, “Atmanirbhar Apps by Mitron is a free Application in which you can get Information about All Indian Branded Companies and their Products. By using this App, a user can get an idea about Atmanirbhar India. Our mission is to Justify the Mantra “Local For Vocal.” In this way, every real Indian can make a small contribution to the nation to grow more“.
The App offers Indian based developer creations across various categories like social, entertainment, local, utility, games, shopping, health, news, e-learning, and business. The Atmanirbhar App also offers a recommended section that features apps such as the Arogya Sethu, BHIM UPI payments, Narendra Modi app, and even Jio TV.
This push for the Indian app store came after google updated its play store billing service. According to updated regulations, developers who offer in-built purchases or subscriptions to their clients need to pay a mandatory 30% tax to google for every purchase. Many Indian developers push for the idea of an Indian made app store that doesn’t regulate the 30% tax on in-app purchases.
The Atmanirbhar App is available on android devices as of now. The App is, however, not yet launched for iOS devices. It is an excellent initiative as the App stands to promote Indian developers’ apps, and it does so without taking any tax from the developers.

Samsung’s Exynos 1080 to be unveiled on November 12
Samsung has been desperately trying to establish its presence in the semiconductor market. After its embarrassing loss with Exynos 990 and yet again suffering the humiliating defeat against Apple’s A14 Bionic, it seems Samsung is ready to make a thrilling come back.
The South Korean giant earlier released few necessary details regarding its upcoming Exynos 1080 SoC. Now, however, the company has revealed that the processors will be officially announced on November 12. The mobile SoC is based on a 5nm process that is sure to boost the processor’s performance.
According to sources, the chip will come with new ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores and the ARM Mali-G78 GPU. Both of which are cutting edge technologies and offer unbreakable performance. The new chip is also claimed to exceed 650,000 points in AnTuTu. These results, however, are from a programmable chip and not the performance of the actual processor. So it is safe to assume that the version of the SoC will increase after its official release. The top smartphones that sport the Snapdragon 865 score around the 600,000 marks on AnTuTu. It means that Samsung’s new processor looks very promising.
Samsung is also reportedly working on two different mobile processors, one among which will reportedly use AMD graphics. According to sources, the processors being developed are the Exynos 1080 and the Exynos 2100. The Exynos 2100 SoC will reportedly power Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S21 smartphone. The Exynos 2100 will reportedly sport ARM’s Cortex-X1 Super CPU core, which is expected to boost the processor’s performance by a ton.
Not many details are known about the Exynos 1080 as of yet, but it is reported that Vivo brand phones will be the first to receive the upcoming processor. According to sources, the smartphone model is not confirmed yet, but the Vivo X60 will be the first device to receive Samsung’s game-changing processor.
