Passing the Shield

In the climactic moments of 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame,” Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, bids farewell to his fellow heroes and chooses to live a peaceful life with Peggy Carter in the past. Before departing, Rogers passes his vibranium shield to Sam Wilson, entrusting him with the mantle of Captain America. This emotional handover set the stage for Sam’s journey, culminating in his first full-length film as Cap.

Presidential Intrigue and New Threats

The trailer begins with a dramatic introduction featuring Harrison Ford’s President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who seeks to recruit Sam Wilson as a U.S. agent. The stakes are immediately raised when Sam thwarts an assassination attempt at the White House. As tensions rise, the trailer offers a glimpse of the formidable Red Hulk, a gamma-irradiated adversary and alter-ego of President Ross in the comics. Whether the film will adhere to the original storyline remains a mystery.

From TV to the Big Screen

Sam Wilson’s first appearance as Captain America was in the Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” Teaming up with Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, Sam battles a group of terrorists, earning acclaim from fans and critics alike.

The series garnered five Emmy nominations, solidifying Sam Wilson’s place in the Marvel universe.

A Star-Studded Cast

“Captain America: Brave New World” reunites Mackie with his co-stars from “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” Danny Ramirez returns as the new Falcon, Carl Lumbly reprises his role as Isaiah Bradley, and Shira Haas joins as the Israeli superhero Sabra. The cast also features Giancarlo Esposito as a mysterious antagonist and sees Harrison Ford taking over the role of “Thunderbolt” Ross from the late William Hurt. Additionally, Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson make a comeback as Betty Ross and the Leader, respectively, from the “Incredible Hulk” movie.

Creative Visionaries

Directed by Julius Onah and penned by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton, the film promises a thrilling adventure. Kevin Feige and Nate Moore serve as producers, with Louis D’Esposito and Charles Newirth as executive producers.

The creative team aims to deliver a captivating narrative that honors the legacy of Captain America while forging a new path for Sam Wilson.

Teasing the Red Hulk

The new movie poster, prominently featuring a giant red hand, hints at the significant role of Red Hulk in the film. This visual teaser adds to the excitement and speculation surrounding the plot, especially given the character’s complex history in the Marvel comics.

Trailer Insights and Speculations

The trailer’s biggest surprise is undoubtedly the appearance of Red Hulk.
