India educates more students than almost anywhere on Earth, and that scale is exactly why getting AI in classrooms right matters so much. A new report from Wadhwani AI, in partnership with The Bridgespan Group and support from Google.org, lays out a roadmap for how artificial intelligence can be woven into India’s public education system without leaving anyone behind.

The report identifies seven priority areas for long-term change: personalized learning, AI-powered teacher support, multilingual access, early childhood education, career navigation, skill development, and socio-emotional learning. Together, these areas — if scaled through public systems — could touch hundreds of millions of learners.
