The Boys Collaboration: What’s Actually in the Game

This isn’t just cosmetic slap-on branding — The Boys crossover goes deep into the gameplay itself, with two fully reimagined modes built around the show’s universe.

In Multiplayer, Supe’d Up Attack of the Undead lets players step into the shoes of Homelander, Starlight, or Black Noir in a powered-up twist on the fan-favourite mode. In Battle Royale, Vought Royale scatters Temp V doses across the Isolated map — pick one up and you’ll randomly get one of four superpowers: Laser Vision, Electric Shockwave, Charge Jump, or Teleport. It’s chaotic, it’s unpredictable, and it absolutely captures the anarchic energy of the show.

On top of the modes, the Faction Themed Event at launch lets players pick a side — The Boys or the Dawn of the Seven — and grind for over a dozen Epic rewards including The Boys-themed Weapon Blueprints and the Manta Ray – Maritime Marauder Skin. Three separate The Boys Operator Draws also arrive in Season 5, each featuring one of the three Supes alongside a Legendary Weapon Blueprint with reactive kill-count elements.

New Modes, Weapons, and the Mythic Drop Everyone Has Been Waiting For

Beyond The Boys, Season 5 delivers some serious content. Armoured Royale is the standout new Battle Royale mode — squads drop in alongside their own personal armoured vehicle, which also doubles as their respawn point. It adds a whole new strategic layer to the endgame and is going to be an instant fan favourite.

The BAL-27 Bullpup Assault Rifle arrives as the new Battle Pass weapon — a fast-firing, close-to-mid range workhorse that Premium Pass holders can unlock alongside Operator Skins like Bulldog the Responder and Klepto the Dissenter.

And then there’s the Mythic Kui Ji – Viridescent Oath Drop — the notorious DMZ: Recon boss from Serpent Island, reimagined with spiked armour and spectral energy. This one has been anticipated for a while, and it looks like it was worth the wait. The 1v1 Peak Duel event also makes a return with updated mechanics and map tweaks for good measure.

This kind of ambitious crossover sits comfortably in the long tradition of video game crossover events, where pop culture collisions create some of the most memorable gaming moments of any given year.
