Titled “The Little Things That Run the World,” the awareness session was led by Dr. G. Areendran, Director of Tech for Conservation at WWF-India, and explored how elephant survival is deeply tied to forests, water systems, and smaller creatures like birds, butterflies, and fireflies.

The session placed strong emphasis on responsible tourism, urging travelers to avoid wildlife products, choose ethical and low-impact nature experiences, respect animal habitats, and support conservation organizations and the local communities that share these landscapes.

Speaking on the initiative, Sandeep Arora, Director of Brightsun Travel India, said that while travel lets people connect closely with the natural world, that connection has to come with responsibility — and that protecting elephants is closely tied to protecting forests, water systems, smaller species, and the communities living alongside them.
